Your #1 KPI
Put the goal that matters at the top.
Revenue is the dashboard's main figure by default. If your business runs on signups or waitlist joins, make that goal your #1 KPI and the figures, the chart and the panels follow it.

What changes on the dashboard.
- The second figure
- Revenue's place in the row of figures goes to your goal: the visitors who completed it, with the change from the previous period.
- Conversion rate
- Becomes visitors who completed the goal ÷ visitors, instead of new paying customers ÷ visitors.
- The chart
- The bars under the visitors line show the goal instead of revenue.
- The panels
- Each source, page and country row counts the visitors who completed the goal, sorts by visitors or by the goal, and shows its conversion rate on hover.
And beyond the main dashboard.
- In a visitor's journey the goal is marked Completed goal and highlighted, and the days it happened show on the activity grid
- Alert sounds can play for the #1 KPI goal, whichever goal it is
- Revenue keeps being recorded, Revenue/visitor stays on the dashboard, and switching back to Revenue loses nothing
One per website.
Each website has its own #1 KPI, so one website can follow signups while another follows revenue. The same settings card sets the colour of the revenue or goal bars.

Track the goal
Any custom goal or page-visit goal. It needs to have been tracked before it shows in the list.
Choose it
In Settings → General → #1 KPI, pick Goal, choose the goal's name and save.
How it works, in detail.
The docs page “Set your #1 KPI” goes through it step by step.
Limits worth knowing
- One #1 KPI per website: revenue or one goal
- The figure and the rows count visitors who completed the goal, so someone completing it twice counts once
- The All websites view always shows visitors and revenue, not a goal
